Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson is arrested by the FBI.

Fernandez Anderson is arrested at 6 a.m. at her home and subsequently charged with with wire fraud and theft for demanding a $7,000 kickback from a member of her staff in a City Hall bathroom in June 2023. Her arrests prompts calls for her resignation from Mayor Michelle Wu and other elected officials.
